October is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language slice of life romantic drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under their Rising Sun Films banner. It stars Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu, and Gitanjali Rao.[4] Both Sandhu and Rao debuted as actors with this film.[5][6] Written by Juhi Chaturvedi and shot by Avik Mukhopadhyay, the film depicts the life of a hotel-management intern (Dhawan) who takes care of his fellow intern (Sandhu) after she meets an accident and his unconditional, unconventional caring for her.[7]

Initially scheduled to release on 1 June 2018, the film was released on 13 April 2018,[8][9] grossing over ₹54 crore worldwide.[3] Upon its release, the filmmakers were accused of plagiarising Aarti - The Unknown Love Story, a Marathi film directed by Sarika Mene. Screenwriters Association reviewed the case and found some similarities between the two films. However, it cleared October of plagiarism charges as the real-life events that likely inspired both the films were not protected by copyright laws.
Danish "Dan" Walia (Varun Dhawan) is a hotel management trainee working for an internship course in a hotel in Delhi. His co-worker is Shiuli Iyer (Banita Sandhu). Dan is a man of careless attitude who does not like his job due to the low-class errands and has strained relations with most of his co-workers and seniors, contrasting with Shiuli who is calmer and good at her job. On New Year's Eve Shiuli and the other hotel interns party at the top of the terrace, but Dan is nowhere to be seen. Little realizing that the cliff is slippery, Shiuli falls from the terrace as she happens to ask of his whereabouts.


Critically injured, Shiuli is admitted to the hospital, and goes into a comatose state. When Dan learns about Shiuli's accident, he visits her in the hospital. Empathizing with her condition he begins visiting her regularly and develops an emotional attachment towards her when he comes to know that her last three words before her fall were "Where is Dan?". Due to his frequent visits to the hospital, his internship at the hotel suffers and he is fired. As months pass by, Shiuli slowly starts to recover. Dan gets another job at a different hotel in Kullu where he becomes a manager, however, unable to take Shiuli out of his mind, he returns to her. When Shiuli is discharged and taken home, Dan continues taking care of her.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a 2018 American science fiction adventure film directed by J. A. Bayona. The film is the sequel to Jurassic World (2015) and is the fifth installment of the Jurassic Park film series, as well as the second installment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. The film features Derek Connolly and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow both returning as writers, with Trevorrow and original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers. Set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, off Central America's pacific coast, the plot follows Owen Grady and Claire Dearing as they must rescue the remaining dinosaurs on the island before a volcanic eruption destroys it. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B. D. Wong, and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles from previous films in the series, with Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, Ted Levine, Isabella Sermon and Geraldine Chaplin joining the cast.

Filming took place from February to July 2017 in the United Kingdom and Hawaii. Fallen Kingdom premiered in Madrid, Spain on May 21, 2018, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 22, 2018, by Universal Pictures. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised Pratt's performance, Bayona's direction and the visuals, as well as the "surprisingly dark moments," although many criticized the script and felt the film added nothing new to the franchise, with some commenting it had run its course.[7] An untitled sequel is set to be released on June 11, 2021.
During a stormy night on the island of Isla Nublar – the site of the Jurassic World theme park that was abandoned three years earlier – a mercenary team uses a small submarine to retrieve DNA from the deceased hybrid dinosaur Indominus rex, whose remains are in the park's Mosasaurus lagoon. The Mosasaurus destroys the submarine after it sends the DNA sample to the surface, and the remaining mercenaries evacuate with the DNA when the park's Tyrannosaurus arrives, consequently leaving the lagoon gate open for the Mosasaurus to escape into the ocean.

On the mainland, there is a debate on whether Isla Nublar's dinosaurs should be saved from the island's volcano Mount Sibo, which is about to erupt. During a U.S. Senate hearing, Dr. Ian Malcolm states that the dinosaurs should be left to die, as he believes that cloning them was a mistake and that nature is correcting the mistake. Former park manager Claire Dearing has created the Dinosaur Protection Group to save the creatures, along with Franklin, a former park technician, and Zia, a paleo-veterinarian. However, with the Senate decision to reject rescue of the dinosaurs, Claire's mission is over until she is contacted by Benjamin Lockwood, John Hammond's partner in creating the cloning technology, until Lockwood split with Hammond.

Kaala (lit. Black) is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action film [1][2] film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role,[3][4] the film was announced in 2016 and is expected to be released on 7 June 2018. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on 27 April 2018 but was postponed to June due to the standoff between Nadigar Sangam and Digital Service Providers on the increase of VPF[clarification needed] charges along with the 2018 Tamil Nadu protests for Kaveri water sharing issue which also led to the delay in release of other Tamil films.
Following the commercial success of director Pa. Ranjith's gangster romantic drama Kabali (2016) starring Rajinikanth, actor-producer Dhanush announced that he had signed the duo to work on a new film for his production house, Wunderbar Films during late August 2016.[11] Refuting reports that the film would be a sequel to Kabali, Dhanush announced that production would begin during mid-2017 following the completion of Rajinikanth's work for Shankar's science fiction film 2.0 (2018). In early May 2017, the producers received an open letter from Sundar Shekar Mishra, the foster son of gangster Haji Mastan, threatening that the makers should not depict his father in negative light and if they did, they would face consequences.[12] In reply, Ranjith denied the film was a biopic of Haji Mastan and clarified that the film was based on fictional events, while revealing that Rajinikanth would play a man from Tirunelveli who escapes to Mumbai as a child and goes on to become a powerful don living in Dharavi slums.[13] The title of the film, Kaala was announced in late May 2017, with promotional posters carrying the film's first look released in Tamil, English, Hindi

    Selama malam yang penuh badai di pulau Isla Nublar - tempat taman dinosaurus Jurassic World yang ditinggalkan tiga tahun sebelumnya - tim tentara bayaran mencoba mengambil sampel DNA dinosaurus hibrida Indominus rex yang mati, yang tubuhnya berada di taman Mosasaurus laguna. Baaghi 2 is a 2018 Indian action thriller film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and directed by Ahmed Khan. The film opens with Neha who has a sudden attack and becomes unconscious. On regaining her consciousness, she begins to look for her missing daughter, but she cannot. Helpless, she calls Ronny, her former college boyfriend, now an Indian Army soldier. Ronny takes a leave from his army. The film flashes back four years, where Ronny and Neha meet in college and fell in love. After proposing to Neha, Ronny promises to her that he will always help and be with her if she is ever in trouble.

Back to the present, Ronny finds Neha frightened. On asking her about her family, she reveals that her 3-year-old daughter Rhea is missing since the day she fell unconscious after dropping her at school. When Ronny asks her about Shekhar, her husband, she tells him that Shekhar has been depressed since the kidnap. Neha requests Ronny to help her find Rhea. Ronny remembers his promise and accepts the task to find Rhea.

Ronny goes to rent a car, where he meets and befriends a man named Usman Langda. Ronny and Neha visit the Police station where Inspector Kutey tries to misbehave with Neha. Ronny beats him up, an action that gets him arrested, but he is subsequently released after his boss DGP Shergill requests for it. Suddenly Sunny, Neha's alcoholic brother-in-law, arrives and she asks Ronny to leave.

Spyder is a 2017 Indian spy thriller film directed and written by AR Murugadoss. Shot in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously, the film stars Mahesh Babu, S. J. Surya and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer and Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer of the film. The production of the film and the film's principal photography commenced in July 2016.[4] The first look of the film was released on 12 April 2017,[5] while the teaser was released on 1 June 2017.[6][7] The film was released worldwide on 27th September, 2017.
Shiva (Mahesh Babu), an officer in the Intelligence Bureau office, spies on people's calls and messages to help them if needed. He developed a software to listen to the needing ones by tracking their phones. On the night of March 16th, he listens to a lady named Charlie (Rakul Preet Singh) talking about her wish on getting 98% in her exams from 96% to get a USA Scholarship with her friend. In order to do that, she decides to get concentration by knowing a guy. Shiva goes and follows her and Charlie starts to fall in love but Shiva does not as his main focus is to help people.

On the night of April 28th, he listens to a young girl asking her friend for help as she is alone in her house and scared because there is no current in her house whilst everyone else on her street does. Shiva sends his friend and new police constable, Renuka, to help the girl. However the next day, a news channel declares that the two are killed. Shiva goes to the site and finds that its been a brutal murder. To know who murdered them, he sets out to 'spy' the girl's chats and whereabouts.

He finds that a guy followed her at a cafe. Through technology, he find someone who knows the guy. He then travels to the village where the guy grew up from, through the person who knew the guy. From a long-living villager, he learns the past about the guy, Bhairavudu/Sudalai (S. J. Surya). He has an anxiety to kill people and see the victims' family crying. One day, a village kid sees him killing a person and tells the other villagers. They decide to burn Bhairavudu/Sudalai's house, which his parents died from. Angry, he left the village to continue his anxiety with his younger brother. Shiva manages to catch him but instead he reveals to be Bhairavudu's/ Sudalai’s younger brother (Bharath). Bhairavudu reveals that he killed 23 people and hid their bodies in 23 pillars of a bridge and threatens the whole citizens to leave his brother free. He also reveals that he plans to destroy a hospital. Shiva, though, kills Bharaivadu’s/ Sudalai’s brother in front of the 23 people's families, including an angry Bhairavudu/Sudalai.

Bhairavudu/ Sudalai plans to kill Shiva's family. Shiva finds out when his mother (Dheepa Ramanujam) calls him and tells him that she is scared because there is no current in their house whilst everyone else on the street does, exactly the same as what the girl had said earlier. Shiva manages to save his family through his workmates. Then, Bhairavudu/ Sudalai tries to kill Shiva on his way home, which Shiva gets stabbed through his body from a rod on a truck. He slowly recovers and gets back on getting Bhairavadu/Sudalai. Because Shiva had shot him before he fell unconscious, he thinks Bhairavudu/Sudalai has hidden himself in a house. With the help of the local ladies, Shiva finds, catches and arrests Bhairavadu/Sudalai, but Bhairavudu/Sudalai tells him that he had already planned a big rock fall in the city which starts in 20 minutes. Shiva manages to stop the big rock, with the number of cars that were already there and a truck he managed to get in place. Meanwhile, Bhairavudu/Sudalai escapes from the police quarters and continues with his plan on destroying a hospital. Shiva finds out from Charlie which hospital it is and who Bhairavudu/Sudalai is planning with. He reaches there just before the building collapses. He saved as many as he could but couldn't save some patients which he feels heartbroken for. Lastly, Shiva finally kills Bhairavudu/Sudalai and tells media that "We have only killed the patient, but not the disease.", "Helping people you don’t know is the greatest happiness in the world." and, "We shouldn’t use technology all the time, because we don’t have time to spend with others." The movie ends with Shiva walking with Charlie out of the crowd.

High Jack is an 2018 Indian Hindi-language stoner comedy film directed by Akarsh Khurana, starring Sumeet Vyas, Mantra and Sonnalli Seygall.[1] The film's theatrical trailer was launched on 27 March, 2018.[2][3] It was released on 18 May, 2018.
Rakesh, an out of luck DJ, has just found out that the gig he was to perform in Goa, has been canceled.[5] He is in urgent requirement of money to save his Dad’s clinic and in that desperation, partly agrees to carry a packet on his return flight to Delhi. He doesn’t realise what’s in the packet and the consequences.[6] A bunch of devastated employees of an airline that is shutting down, decide to hijack its last flight in a bid to recover some dues and to punish their employer. It’s the same flight as DJ Rakesh’s.[7] With them are flying a bunch of interesting and some weird passengers. Things take a funny turn when people on the flight accidentally get high on the dope including the high jackers. As the plane loses its direction, the fliers behave out of their minds, the flight turns into one big party high in the sky

Veere Di Wedding (English: Friend's Wedding) is an upcoming 2018 Indian Hindi female buddy comedy film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The film is co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, as four friends attending a wedding.
In December 2015, Sonam Kapoor indicated that she would be working on a project with her sister Rhea Kapoor.[2] The project was officially announced in June 2016.[3]
The project was delayed due to Kareena Kapoor's pregnancy. Principal photography began in September 2017.[4] The movie will be shot in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok. Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor agreed to act in the film.[5][6][7] Sumeet Vyas was cast as Kareena's boyfriend.[8]
The project underwent three major schedules in Delhi, Mumbai and Phuket.
The trailer was released on April 25.[9] The first song from the movie, Tareefan, was released on May 2.
Controversy
Another Hindi film with a similar title Veerey Ki Wedding,[10] starring Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Jimmy Shergill appeared while the movie was in production. Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is a 2018 Indian historical action drama film directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and JA Entertainment. The film is written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh and Abhishek Sharma.[7] The film is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998.[8][9] It features John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani. It was released on 25 May 2018.[10] Parmanu was earlier slated to release on 8 December 2017, but the makers pushed the date to avoid clashing with Padmaavat.[11] Recently film got delayed further owing to conflicts between the producers of the film, Abraham's JA Entertainment and Kriarj entertainment
Parmanu was officially announced on 15 April 2017 via Taran Adarsh's Twitter handle.[14] John Abraham was approached by film producers Prerna Arora and Arjun N Kapoor with the script, which was further developed.[15] Parmanu was shot in Delhi and Mumbai, with major portions being shot in Pokhran, and areas of Pokhran Fort, Aada Bazaar, Gandhi Chowk Main Market and the Gomat Railway Station.[16] The principal photography of the film began on 31 May 2017 and the shoot was completed in August.[17][18] About the film, Abraham said: "Parmanu is an ode to the Army and scientists, who although ordinary people, truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map
The film currently holds a 50% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, based on 6 reviews, with an average rating of 6/10.[27]

Rohit Vats from Hindustan Times rated the film 3/5. He praised the climax of the film, however he called the opening scenes "dull" and pointed out some "sketchy acting".[28] The opening sequences of the film were criticised in the review of Bollywood Hungama too which called it "shaky", but added that it picked up pace later. The film was given 3.5/5 as it had "enough plusses". Also, Abhishek Sharma’s direction was called "to the point".[29] It received a rating of 3.5/5 from Rachit Gupta in her review for The Times of India as it had enough "tricks to please even a discerning audience". She felt the film lacked attention to details and "authenticity", though these shortcomings were overcome by "emotions and a sense of national pride".[30]

The film was criticised by some reviewers. Shrishti Negi of News18 criticised over-dramatisation and twisting of facts, rating it 2/5. The opening sequence was also critised, being called "too shaky".[31] Kennith Rosario of The Hindu felt the film was "simplistic" and had "all the ingredients to be a propaganda film". He even added that there is "nationalistic jingoism" at the core of the film which hailed the achievements of Vajpayee government.[32] Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express criticised the film for its lack of details and use of historical facts, calling it "all surface, no depth", and gave it 1.5 stars.[33] Deccan Chronicle also gave it 1.5 stars out of 5 in its review by Arnab Banerjee, saying that the seriousness of the film didn't come across as it looked like a "picnic with a little bit of work thrown in here and there".
